So do any of you own one, I'm thinking in getting one later this year, is it a good camera?
I'm a tad on the novice side when it comes to "film" so err, bear with me.
Or any of the below.

BOLEX EL

I was looking at the Eclair Cameras on Ebay a while ago. The NPR is the nicest of the four stated above. But for the price of an NPR, you could buy an Arri S or Arri M (The El Mariachi Camera). The Arri S is usually sold without an exterior magazine (It can shoot 100 ft. of film without a magazine), but you can usually buy a 400 ft. Magazine for about 150 dollars.
The picture quality in the arri cameras is 10 times better than what you can get from an Eclair.
Hope this helps!

Picture quality depends on two things - Lens quality and stock. Not the camera. The registration on these other camera's may or may not be different, but the picture quality is 16mm no matter which way you cut it.
Oh, and although you can get those Arri's for a similar price, they CAN'T shoot sync-sound without serious blimps (which suck!).
My 2 cents
